About Us

Our story

Did you know some of the earliest beers were made using wild yeast to ferment baked grains - very similar to bread! It was an epic way of working with nature to preserve food.

Nowadays us humans produce a lot of bread, using land, water and energy, but about 44% is wasted. There’s a similar story for all food - food production is the biggest contributor to climate change, but one third of all food is wasted.

Since 2016, we’ve saved so many slices of bread that stacked up together, they’d be 5.6 times the height of Mount Everest!

We’re on a mission. By fighting food waste, advocating for nature, and giving all our profits to the charities protecting the natural world we love.

Join us, and let’s Raise a Toast to planet Earth!

Sustainability

We set out to make beer that tastes amazing and does amazing things. That’s why we brew with surplus bread, transforming leftover loaves into liquid gold. What’s more, 100% of our profits go to charities to buy Mother Nature a round.

Our beer

We brew tasty, refreshing beers that help you do your bit for the planet, saving surplus slices with every drop!

We buy excess bakery bread and use it to replace 25% of the malted barley in all of our beers. The enzymes in the malt then get to work changing starches in the bread to simple sugars, ready for yeast to convert them to alcohol and carbon dioxide. Adding hops to give aroma and bitterness, and to help preserve the beer.

Check out our range of delicious beers in our shop.
